Hoa Mai was born in Vietnam, and grew up in Saigon. After graduating in Saigon with a Degree in both English and Russian, Hoa Mai immigrated to the United States 18 years ago with her family. Once in the states she decided to change her life with flowers, and began her career transformation quickly becoming an award winning Floral Designer.

Since immigrating to the United States Hoa Mai has been very active in the floral industry. During her first 10 years as a designer, Hoa Mai has had the honor of being placed 5 times as one of the top 10 Floral Designers in the State of California. In addition to being named one of the top 10 Designers in the State, Hoa Mai has also participated many international floral design competitions.

In 2000 Hoa Mai had the honor of being lead designer in charge of all floral décor at the Peoples Committee of Hochiminh City for President Bill Clinton.
