In 2006 Kunming Anthura Horticulture Co. Ltd. started in Songming, near Kunming. Kunming Anthura is specialized in growing young-plants of Anthuriums for both pot plant as well as cut flower cultivation. Next to that the company is growing young-plants of bromeliads for pot plant cultivation and recently started the cultivation of Phalaenopsis young-plants for pot plant cultivation.

Kunming Anthura cooperates closely with Anthura B.V., the world’s number one in the field of breeding and propagation of Anthuriums and is ranking amongst the best for Phalaenopsis.The diversity in varieties has been greatly increased in recent years through breeding and selection. Our Anthurium range consists of both pot plant and cut flower varieties. For the bromeliads Kunming Anthura cooperates with Corn. Bak B.V., one of the best in the field of breeding and propagation of Bromeliads.

Kunming Anthura has 14.5 hectare (217.8 mu) land in Songming. The present greenhouse area is 35.000 m2. Next to that a 4.000 m2 tissue culture lab is operational for production of the young plants. Currently, a team of over 300 employees form a professional team to produce top-quality young plants and to give the technical service to growers to make their cultivation successful, including training in our training facility, visiting the customers, fertilizer analysis etc.

In 2008 we constructed a demonstration greenhouse in Soing. In this greenhouse of 5.000 m2 we show the latest varieties of Anthuriums and Bromeliads. A main function of this show greenhouse is the training courses that we provide for our customers.
