Tinaw Business Share Company was formed in 2006. The Company intends to be engaged in agro-industrial investment portfolio in a phase by phase basis with the major emphasis on horticulture in its initial development periods. The first phase of the Company’s operation focuses on flower farming and export, and then to vegetables & fruit. Through time, it has also a plan to be engaged in to other areas of investment.

Tinaw’s floriculture farm site is located at the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Regional State ( SNNPRS), Guraghe Zone, Ezha Sub-District , Zigba-Botto Village, which is 170 Km from Addis Ababa. Currently, the Company produces different flower varieties for exports to The Netherlands and other countries.
Tinaw is staffed with very dedicated and committed professionals who have aligned their interest with the success of the company.
Since its inception, Tinaw is a farm known for the quality of its flowers. The word Tinaw has been almost synonymous with quality.
In terms of quality, reliability and consistency, Tinaw has already won the heart and souls of its customers. The farm is one of the very few companies that have managed to nearly double the production capacity in a span of only a few years.
The aggression of Tinaw in promoting social responsibility since its establishment is almost unmatched. Currently, the company is MPS certified and gearing up toward a silver certification from EHPEA.
Tinaw ensures that the flower variety don't adversely affect the environment. This is done by engaging in socially and environmentally acceptable agricultural practices such as using organic fertilizers and Bio-pest control systems. The company is one of the very few growers who have implemented the IPM pest control program.
Tinaw has also been engaged in an aggressive expansion program in the past one year. In addition to the existing 9.6 hectares currently under cultivation, the company has added an extra 4.5 hectares this year (2011). This brings the total area under cultivation close to 14 hectares.
Heidi! and Viva! are some of the new varieties added to the existing pool. These two varieties have been planted on two hectares of land; one for each. The first crop from these varieties is expected to be shipped in May 2011. Among other varieties currently under production are Blondine! and Marie Claire!.
