Task 1: Symphony in Blooms

What can you tell us about your ‘Symphony in Blooms’?

For me Symphony in Blooms is a combination of flowers, colors and shape. Harmony, lightness and transparency – an interplay of colors and flowers.

What or who were your sources for inspiration for your ‘Symphony in Blooms’ creation and why?

My inspiration comes from a sense of myself, from listening to the music of Antonin Dvorak and his history. I want to express the feelings that I find in his work, his creativity and his individuality. It should be a generous work yet light. A dance of colors and flowers, a game in the air…

Task 2: The Youngest City

How can we recognize the youngest city ‘Havirov’ in your arrangement? What effect do the Gerberas add to the creation?

I would like my work of the youngest city Havirov to show the straight lines of the new architecture of the city. I was impressed by the mix of buildings and the surrounding countryside, and in my work I would like to create a bridge between these elements. A certain coolness, combined with beautiful nature reserves and parks in en around the city. As a design element Gerbera is very dominant and expressive in its operation, and it has a great symbolic value for my work. I try to create an appropriate framework and a place in the design of Gerbera, and they will be given a well-guarded place in order not to get caught by the variety of other flowers.

How can we recognize your style in general? And how is this expressed in this creation?

I like a certain generosity in floristry products and I personally like working with big floral designs, but with their implementation for the flowers they need to show their diversity. I like clean lines, exciting color combinations, large quantities of material and much more. I can work with beautiful materials, and I try to create an appropriate framework for my design, taking into account the preciousness of the flowers and plants.

The design as such, or at least an important element of it, needs to be innovative. What is the innovative element in your creation?

Innovative is a creative person in his own way and I am always looking for new challenges in the design. Inventing something new in the design or in the technique in my construction is to make it as a whole by using different materials. I want a foreign material as a design element and at the same time I want technical assistance in my work, and between I would like to create a bridge.

Task 3: Bridal Bouquet in the colours of EC 2011-logo

What can you tell us about your bridal bouquet? Which techniques did you use?

It isn’t a bouquet to carry in the hand, mysterious, dominant and striking… my wedding jewelry will be glued.

Can you describe the personality of the bride you made this bouquet for? and who are you going to call first in case you win this competition?

The Bride will be brave and confident.

I do not think I can call anyone at that moment, because of nervousness. I will run to my family and friends, who are in Havirov to assist me.
