Europa Cup Havirov, Day 1, Ani Poklepovic

Task 1: Symphony in Blooms
My “Symphony in Blooms” presents a spirited circle of various colours which evokes dance and harmonious movement..
The wheel dance was my first association with Antonin Dvořák because he composed these pieces of music.

Task 2: The Youngest City
I will use coal and stone in the second task because coal is a typical raw material of the city of Havirov. I will also use the logo of the city. The number of gerberas in the arrangement will indicate the city’s age in years.

In my work I use only natural materials and geometric shapes. The same element I choose runs through all my work. Each flower has a specific meaning. I want the flowers to be centre stage. The construction should be simple so the flowers are the first thing you see.

The innovative element will be magnets put in concealed places. I have been using them in iron constructions for a while

Task 3: Bridal Bouquet in the colours of EC 2011-logo
My bridal bouquet is made entirely from natural materials. It is light to carry. I will use glue and wire as basic techniques.

I think the bride should be a nature lover and a down-to-earth kind of person.

I would call my husband first because he is my harshest critic and participated in the design and preparations.
