What do you think about the connection of flowers and coal? What kind of flowers would you combine with the coal?
They can work well together, in floristry it has been done before, making some wonderful creations.

Whose work do you admire (in floral design, but also in fields of art, design, movies, music, etc.)?
Obviously Daniël Ost, but I like a lot of florists, sometimes it might not be my style but the techniques they use are just so wonderful. In music I like different styles from Adele to Lady Gaga but also Tori Amos. I love fashion, the fashion industry is admirable and the floral industry can learn a great deal from it. 

Tell us about yourself: what will be your next floral challenge?
My biggest challenge at the moment is trying to make flowers more popular. In Belgium we need to get across the idea that working with flowers is not just for old ladies but for everybody.
