I was thrilled and honoured to represent the United States of America at The Americas Cup!
Event 1: Floral Sculpture; The Amazon Rainforest.
Please give us your vision of the theme The Amazon Rainforest. What is your personal connection with The Amazon Rainforest? What do you want us to remember about this creation?
Lush, tropical, mystical, undiscovered. These are the things that come to mind when I think of the Amazon rainforest. My design represents just a small peek into the dense forest.
What do you consider to be the typical flowers and plants from The Amazon Rainforest; the products must be commercial and available for your daily work.
Calathea Leaves, Orchids, Mosses, Bromeliads.
Which techniques did you use and why? And how much time did the preparations cost?
I used groupings and sheltering to create a more visual colour impact and to show how these plants would grow in nature.

My arrangement shows different levels of the garden. It creates a modern look.
