Events July 10th - The Americas Cup - Federico Sanchez
Federico made three different arrangements including a particularly inspiring bridal bouquet where he used an orange garment as the arrangement's base

Event 3 - Table for Two; The Oceans of the Americas.
This was designed for a lunch setting, and is very much related to the colours that prevail and stand out best at that time of day; it’s an arrangement with a big awareness-raising message, totally eco-friendly. My source of inspiration was the Sammy the Seal film by Disney Pixar. The image that came into my mind was the nexus between the two oceans which is represented by the hoses in blue tones.

King Neptune and the Little Mermaid talking about the problem of floating waste which is then eaten by turtles.

My general style leans towards designs in which you can appreciate the beauty of the flower as a unit, being very meticulous and technical with the materials. My style is represented in this work through this meticulous and respectful approach to the arrangement.

My daughter Renata, my wife and everyone who has supported me on this project.

Event 4: Bridal Bouquet; Free theme
Personality, the choice of colour and the materials it is made from; the surprise of seeing something unexpected.

She’s completely sure of herself, uninhibited, and with lots of personality. Her husband is a very calm, respectful sort of person. He’s very confident about the path he has chosen to take.

In floristry I admire the simplicity of the Orient and the mechanics of the Scandinavians. Akemi, Kawasaki, Gregor Lersrh, Per Benjamin. Classical music, Carlos Gardel, and I admire Michelangelo.

Event 5: Corsage; Free theme.
For what kind of event did you make this corsage? Flowers have the ability to make people happy. How should you convince people to wear a corsage more often?
For a very sophisticated event, such as an haute-couture show or a cocktail party. Through a fashion designer on one of those mass TV programmes, or in the shop windows of well-known jewellery brands.
How many hours did you spent in preparing your attendance to this competition? What thoughts and feelings you experienced during the preparation do you want to share with us?
As long as it took to get a good result, to be honest I didn’t keep count but I’m sure that time will increase as the days go by.
What will be your next creative floral challenge?
Collaborating in the development of the floral industry, showcasing floral design more and the excellent standards of the professionals involved in floral design.
