Assignments Interflora World Cup - Fernando Espadas Campillo, Spain
At the second day the designers have to make two assignments. The first is a table arrangement, named 'Green Tea for Two'. On a round table they have to create their masterpiece in two hours time, taking into account that the maximum height is two meters. The second preliminary event is a bridal bouquet with no size restrictions, but obviously the 'Oriental Pearl Bride' must still be able to carry the designers creation.
Green tea for two
We have created a fantasy world to have tea on a lake’s waters that turn into a mystic table creating a fantastic spot to sip tea surrounded by a world of sensations and aromas.

A good friend that I haven’t seen for some time in order to chat about old times and catch up on the events in each others lives.

The materials which we have used is "solid water" to create the illusion that the lake’s waters flow upwards to create a table on the table there are over 300 tubes of different sizes from which springs up the floral work. The choice of the design " flowers and colours" has been based on he idea of creating a fresh, natural and intimate atmosphere.

Oriental Pearl
The design is a drop of water that comes up form a river where pearls are cultivated and fuse together with the bridal arrangement creating a symbiosis between the water and the pearls.

It is a pinched and glued technique, making and allusion to the ikebana (kenzam) techniques.
Fernando: "I chose small flowers and fruits that worked well and fused together with the pearls and other elements of fantasy."
