Assignments Interflora World Cup - Chang Sung Won, Korea
The first event, Designers Choice is themed "Flowers on the Orient". Contestants will complete a design up to 1.2 metres deep and wide and 2.25 metres high within 2 hours.
On the same day they will have their artistic flair tested again with a "Surprise Item" which they will complete in just over an hour. This is an exciting test of how spontaneous these designers from around the world can be with only 15 minutes to view the various items presented to them and create something amazing.
Assignment 1: Flowers on the Orient
I live in South Korea which experiences four beautiful seasons. So I tried to express the beauty of the four beautiful seasons which are for me lively spring, fresh summer, fertile and bright autumn and taste, detached and blank winter. I get inspiration from the above mentioned factors, and as such completes my design as "flowers in the Orient".

Other remarks you would like to make?
I got to know more about the beauty of Korea while designing this flower arrangement. The name "World Cup" has led me to experience a new world and also helped me become more aware of the beauty of the Orient. So I am very grateful and happy. And you are looking at the design.

Assignment 2: Surprise item, Shanghai Tang
Create within the time allowed an in store display for the famous Shanghai Tang Clothing and Accessories Store. Your design should reflect the vibrancy and contemporary ambience of this retail outlet. You do not have to use all of the materials provided, you may decide not to use some of the items at all.
I made an arrangement in oriental style, I think it is an original and different design that is complementary to the future direction. I wanted a 3-D object and to make it I needed a lot of wire.
