I thought about this earlier, I think for me it would be amazing to have a master of a chinese tea ceremony at my table and have a real tea ceremony with all rules ... it is such an old tradition, and to get the chance to join this would be awesome.
That´s not easy for European people, that don´t have this experience, in a setting that for China is a very important tradition. I tried to hold it close to a typical ceremony, like the table high ....
But as I said before, to see a real ceremony on my table, that would be amazing and impressive at how it really works.
Oriental Pearl
Explain how you incorporated the theme” Oriental Pearl into you bridal bouquet?
The theme Oriental Pearl, also states everything.Orient - Pearl .... like in the first theme Flowers of the Orient.Colorful, Ornaments, Mystic, .....And then for me it was important to establish a connection between an oriental emotion and the very modern building in Shanghai.How to get this conection??? I took the Ornaments and brought them together with a very modern material, the mix out of playful ornaments and the shiny modern view of the material made it perfect for me. And of course pearls in different forms and colours with the gold wire, brought in the last polish.
To protect the cut flowers, I will put the stems by the end in liquid latex. This closes cutting site of the flowers and stops the transpiration. I wire each flower with a gold wire and pearls, the wire helps me to fix the flowers in the right position in my bouquet construction. I use this technique, because it is a clean and easy technique and fits perfectly the theme of Orient and Modern.
Here it is also the mix of different flowers that for me makes the interesting part. Different colours and textures, forms and lines that will connect to each other without losing their own personality. Each flower stands on its own, but will help to make a beautiful total view of the arrangement.
It will be a mix of Orchids, Anthuriums, Bromelia ...... cosmopolitan, just like Shanghai, a World modern City with a very old history.
