Her passion and enthusiasm is always evident in the numerous projects she undertakes. For years, Mrs. Asayama has traveled around the world to discover and promote new rose and carnation varieties for Japanese growers, trade and consumers.
The red 'Angelina!® is the most promising rose I have seen in a very long time. In one word: perfection. 'Angelina!®' is the new red large headed rose Japan is waiting for. The new 'Rote Rose'. This beauty has a good shape, the right colour and she smells delicious. This is really a very, very good red variety for the Japanese market. I am sure all Japanese will love 'Angelina!®', because this is an example of real (modern) Japanese taste. I have the highest expectations about 'Angelina!®' .
"The hot pink variety 'Matchpoint!®' is my personal favourite. Its very special colour and flower shape; very gorgeous! Hot pink is my favourite colour. 'Matchpoint!®' combines several shades of pink elegantly with her garden rose-shaped head. I also like the big size of the head. I expect that this rose will be popular in a niche market. The colours of 'Matchpoint!®" might be too strong for the common Japanese consumer."
"Next one is the pinkish brown 'Marrakesh!®', this variety is also very special, with her somewhat strange but unique colour and classically shaped appearance. No other rose has this unique colour in combination with the large head. This is the colour for contemporary and elegant ladies. The brown colour, combined with the antique colour of hydrangeas makes 'Marrakesh!®' very suitable for arrangements. 'Marrakesh!®' is beautiful in every season."
