This mega-rose is one of master-florist Robert Koene's (Athens, Greece) specialties. Especially for the month of love, this is a superb gift item to your Valentine. The master florist takes us step by step on how to create this splendid piece using the extraordinary rose Red Naomi!, which also happens to be his favorite red rose.
This extended Red Naomi! is a wonderful idea to surprise your loved one with an original gift for Valentines Day. For the composition of this rose, you need 15 - 25 stems of Red Naomi!® roses and corsage or buttonhole wire.
Making of the extended Red Naomi rose
After the selection of the stems, you start with carefully peeling of the petals.
When you have peeled of enough rose petals, you can start by putting together 3 petals on a wire. You need corsage wire for this.
This is a job that demands precision and it takes time to prepare the petals for the construction of the extra-extraordinary rose.
The Red Naomi petals are now ready to commence the job
When you have put the petals on wires, you can start with the mounting of the rose.
Start with one original Red Naomi!® rose as centre point and around this you create the large rose by adding the wired rosepetals.

The creation slowly taking shape. Notice the beautiful balance achieved as Robert Koene binds the petals together.
As a finishing touch, you can mask the wires with bear grass or any other material.
