Painting with flowers by Thierry Polart
In the Cuvelier room at Alden Biesen, Students of L'Ecole Industrielle et Commercielle De Braine le Conte under the supervision of Thierry Polart made flower arrangements with colorful gerberas from Schreurs. These arrangements looked like paintings.
Colorful gerbera flower arrangements were used to make floral "painting" which looked quite real and matched perfectly with the existing paintings in this room.
Safari-branches were bound round orange gerberas (Lottery) so it looked like a new gerbera was created. These flowers were tied to a background of bark.
At a panel that was taped with leaves, a bird of seeds standing on a nest with "eggs" was "painted". These "eggs"were made of the hearts of gerberas ((Café®).Under the bird "water"was created with wool and branches in which orange and cream gerberas were put (Risto® and Café®)
At a panel which was taped with banana leaves, branches of cropped willow were tied and in between cream gerberas were put (Café®).
Pink gerberas (Kimsey®) combined with hedera were tied tot a background of willow branches. The panel was placed on a tree stump covered with pieces of moss.
Hollow branches (bamboo) were cut into little pieces and with hen fence created to a frame. In this frame red gerberas (Suri) were put in a artistic way. Altogether a very airy arrangement was created. At the ground pieces of moss were put as a base.
At a base of stripped hedera branches, which were glued together at the background, a droplet was "painted" with red gerberas (Suri®)
