End of social distancing measure and mandatory quarantine
An important announcement was made by the Dutch government. As of Saturday 25 September, a further relaxation of Covid measures will be passed in the Netherlands, including the elimination of the social distancing measure. As of Wednesday 22 September, fully vaccinated travellers coming out of very high-risk areas are exempt from the mandatory quarantine. As IFTF we welcome the further relaxation of measures for the entire industry. Relevant events in the Netherlands are made accessible again for all visitors. All necessary precautions to ensure a safe and responsible event for all attendees are maintained by IFTF, in accordance with our exhibitors and suppliers.

A safe participation
We are ready for IFTF to take place again at Expo Haarlemmermeer. As organizers of the show, we follow the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) measures taken by the venue, which are in line with the measures taken by the Dutch government. Together with Expo Haarlemmermeer, we are committed to delivering a successful IFTF event and acknowledge that health and safety is integral to this objective. Together, we are working hard to ensure that the show has a high-quality health and safety policy in line with the government’s advice in force in September.
Safety measures at Expo Haarlemmermeer, Vijfhuizen, Netherlands
On the IFTF website, you’ll find the most recent safety guidelines for you as an exhibitor or visitor at Expo Haarlemmermeer during the show. Please check these guidelines before visiting the venue.
Access to the show
When you want to access the venue, we will ask you for the following:
- Your entry ticket to the show (register here free of charge)
- Your ID
- Your proof of vaccination, valid negative Covid test (maximum validity 24 hours) or valid proof of recovery. You can show a (EU) Digital COVID Certificate (DCC), or a valid paper version from your country (English/Dutch).*
Statement of health: At the entrance, we will ask you five health questions. Please make sure to bring all of the items above with you to the show.
* The yellow vaccination booklet does not count as valid paper proof.
Get your wristband
This IFTF edition we will be working with wristbands, one for each day of the show. To receive this wristband, we invite you to the Check-in counters outside the building before each day of the show, where we will check your EU Digital Covid Certificate (DCC) and ID.
You will receive a DCC if you are a European citizen and are fully vaccinated, tested negatively or recovered from Covid-19. How to obtain this certificate varies by country. In the Netherlands, you can use the Corona Check app to receive a valid certificate.
Are you from outside of the EU? Instead of a DCC, you can bring a paper proof of vaccination (provided the vaccine is approved by the EU), a negative test, or proof of recovery.
When you have your wristband in place, we will welcome you to enter the building, where you can access the show floor with your entry ticket or exhibitor badge.
Testing for entry
If you don’t have a DCC, you will need to show a negative test result taken a maximum 24 hours before, in order to be able to get a wristband at the check-in counters necessary to gain access to the show. You can get tested at the ‘Testing for Entry’ test locations, for example at the test location at Schiphol Airport, or at a testing location at your convenience. In most facilities, you will need to make an appointment through their website.
Please note: testing and getting a result will take extra time, so make sure to make an appointment beforehand or reserve extra time before the show.
See you at IFTF 2021!
Visiting
Are you planning to attend IFTF? Then it is good to know what conditions currently apply for Covid-19. The general rules and regulations regarding your visit can be found on this page. Also, check the website of the event before you to visit for any additional rules and regulations.
Most important rules in brief
If you wish to visit IFTF, you must first register to receive an entry ticket. To gain access to an event, you need a valid corona entry pass and a valid identity card. As corona entry pass we use the EU Digital Covid Certificate (DCC). This digital certificate is received when you have a valid negative Covid test, have been fully vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19.
The CoronaCheck-app used in the Netherlands will show the DCC. A valid paper version is also accepted. This also applies to visitors from countries outside Europe where a certificate other than the DCC is used. Five health questions are also asked at the entrance. If you can answer all of these negatively, you can safely enter.
We look forward to seeing you at Expo Haarlemmermeer!
