Glass Tulip 2020 goes to five 'real innovators'
Five new products stood out in the past year. For this reason, the floriculture sector and a professional jury crowned them the winners of the 2020 Glass Tulip award. On 16 January, the companies behind these market introductions received their awards during Royal FloraHolland’s New Year Event.

The winners were chosen by the professional jury from a shortlist of five products per category. An online voting round took place prior to this in November, with the floriculture sector nominating approximately sixty products.

Winner 1: INTENZ hydroponie
Category Concepts, VDE Plant
"A concept that became a complete story through storytelling. The lighting is a work of art, with plants playing the leading role." (from the jury rapport).

Winner 2: Lilium oriental-Roselily Samantha
Category Cut flowers, Moerman Lilium
"Pink with a touch of white in the middle. Double-flowered, odourless and without stamens. What an asset to the lily assortment!" (from the jury rapport)

Winner 3: Phlebodium aureum-Davana
Category Green houseplants, Raadschelders Varens
"Fantastic leaves, the colour of the leaf has truly been improved. The different pot sizes are a huge addition." (from the jury rapport)

Winner 4: Poinsettia Euphorbia Mouse
Category Flowering houseplants, Selecta Klemm GmbH, growers Piet Kuivenhoven en Endhoven Flowering Plants BV

Winner 5: Echinacea 'IFECSSSAL' SunsSeekers Salmon
Category Garden plants, Van Woudenberg Tuinplanten
