De Ruiter at IFTEX 2019 with a revamped BIG FIVE color mix
De Ruiter, a global leader in rose breeding, will once again welcome industry participants & guests to their stand (B4.12 in Hall B) during the IFTEX show to be held 5th to 7th June 2019 in Nairobi. The De Ruiter team will be at hand to discuss their exciting ‘Big Five’ colour mixes, special shapes, bi-colours, Kangaroo Paw & Hydrangea lines.

This year, De Ruiter breeding, commercial & marketing teams have been hard at work to present new & refreshing varieties with revamped selections. Their unique marketing concept of ‘The BIG Five’ colour lines, Red, White, Orange, Yellow & Pink each represented by one of the African big five animals, Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino & Buffalo has been carefully considered since last years trade shows to bring a clean & refreshing line up for this year's edition of IFTEX.

Red roses
For ‘Reds’ , they have introduced two varieties; Furiosa® & Born Free® High producing varieties in the retail segment. Furiosa® has been proven to be resiliant against diseases such as Agro-bacterium; while Born Free® has shown stellar results as a low altitude retail variety and also grown successfully at higher altitude in South America to achieve impressive budsize & production figures.
White roses
For ‘White’ De Ruiter has introduced two new varieties in 2019. These are; Epic White® with a vibrant white colour & impressive 200+ production figures and Bright Light®, newly christened in May 2019 with a vibrant colour & good vase life.

Orange & Pink
Under the ‘Orange’ segment, De Ruiter has introduced two alternative varieties from last year; Wannahave® a vibrant coloured, highly productive rose which can be grown in high or low climates. And Orange Crush®, which has been selected for her slightly longer stem & highly productive character for the retail segment. They have revamped the ‘New Big Five’ Pink colour mix by including our proven and successful variety Celeb®.

Yellow and more
Under ‘Yellow’ , they have introduced Lavida®, a highly productive yellow with an average production of 270 stems/m2.
Also set to be showcased will be their best selected varieties in other ranges; Peach X-Pression®, Marvel®, London Eye®, Capriola® & Sunset X-Pression in the special/bi-colour segment, new introductions; Pink Valley®, Dream Girl®, Zanta® & Priti® recently obtain commercial status & our exciting spray lines B-Bubbles®, Misty Bubbles®, Romantic Bubbles®, Purple Tambourine®, Pink Essence® & Cherry Kheops®.
Kangaroo Paw line; Early Spring®, Gold Fever® & Golden Gem® & Hydrangea varieties will give the range a unique diversity throught a wide spectrum of the markets. The De Ruiter team is looking forward to welcoming shareholders to its stand to discuss ‘Creating Flower Business’.
