First Pole for Floriworld
On Thursday, April 25, 2019, the construction of FloriWorld in Aalsmeer officially started, with the first pole. After several years of planning, development and preparation, the construction of FloriWorld officially started. After a short speech by Daniëlle Santen, director of FloriWorld BV and experience architect Bert Kranendonk of the Dutch Experience Group, they were allowed to roll up their sleeves.

On behalf of the three shareholders Bloemenbureau Holland, Royal FloraHolland and
Dutch Experience Group, Dennis van der Lubbe, Steven van Schilfgaarde and Bert Kranendonk respectively planted the first tree together. Despite the pouring rain, alderman Robert van Rijn (Aalsmeer) and René van Schie van Metropool Regio Amsterdam together with Daniëlle Santen watered the tree a hefty watering can. The bondholders present then put plants together in the ground and sowed bee-friendly flowers, with the help of all invitees. Soon the skeleton of the bright building will rise. KondorWessels Projects is responsible for its development.
