Thursday 10 October 2018 the national product meeting Kalanchoe took place at Eosta in Waddinxveen. Over 30 Kalanchoe breeders and breeders attended the presentation of the Kalanchoe promotion plan 2019 - 2021. A unique 100% of these growers agreed to a follow-up of the promotional campaign from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2021.
The 2019-2021 plan is a continuation of the current Kalanchoe promotion. The available budget is raised with a mandatory levy for all Royal FloraHolland suppliers of Kalanchoe. This fee is in accordance with the product specific promotion regulations as approved by the members at the GMM of 6 December 2012.
The growers present represented 88% of the total sales of the Kalanchoe. With this result, the Doctorate Committee will have the fullest confidence to further shape the campaign for the next three years. The promotional activities mainly focus on activities and sales activation in Germany, France, England and the Netherlands.
Through the Royal FloraHolland promotion scheme, from 1 January 2019 all suppliers (members and non-members of Royal FloraHolland) contribute to the promotion of Kalanchoe. This promotional levy of 0.20% on turnover is collected 4 x per year.
