Michael Liebrich is the new German Floral Design Champion!
After two exciting days full of breath-taking floral art arrangement, the new German florist champion was crowned: Michael Liebrich! The 29-year old independent master florist from the town of Weilheim an der Teck prevailed on August 17 and 18 in Berlin, defeating nine high-profile colleagues. He thereby replaces Stephan Triebe from Hamburg as the official champion of Germany.

Finishing in second place was Heiko Steudtner from Cunewalde in Sachsen (Blumenhaus Schröter / Florale Manufaktur), while 3rd place went to Franziska Strobl from Geretsried (Blumengeschäft Strohblume) in Bayern.
A notable audience at the Potsdamer Platz
Numerous prominent guests from the industry were present for the contest, as well as FDF President Helmuth Prinz and Fleurop Executive Board member Dr. Ing. Stefan Gegg. In front of an enthusiastic audience, they presented their trophy to the DMF 2018 winner during a grandiose victory celebration at the CineStar cinema.
The competition took place at the famous Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, filling the vast shopping center with flowers as the 10 designers competed over the course of five challenges. Many of the surprised shoppers could hardly believe their eyes.
