Colourful floral sails during the Varend Corso Westland
Varend Corso Westland also known as the Floating Flower Parade, is a spectacular annual event held every first weekend of August. Boats decked out in floral and veggy designs sail through the communities of Westland, Midden-Delfland, Schiedam, Vlaardingen, Maassluis, Rijswijk, The Hague and Delft.

The event also includes a floral arrangement competition that acknowledgs the work of Holland’s best floral designers with an emphasis on new design. Hundreds of thousands people are visited this year's Varend Corso an a weekend that was full of fun for family and friends. Varend Corso is not only for those who enjoy beautiful flowers, plants and vegetables, but also for those who love the historical Westlands boats.
