Introducing Cupido® - New Premium T-Hybrid red rose by De Ruiter
De Ruiter East Africa recently hosted top growers from the East African region for an Open Day to launch promotional activities for their new T-Hybrid red rose Cupido®.

The event provided an opportunity for the growers to take up Cupido® as another promising addition to the better known Rhodos® and Ever Red® varieties.
In his presentation, the Managing Director De ruiter East Africa, Robin Ĺetcher pointed out that since Rhodos® was a low altitude variety and is blocked for most growers and Ever Red® (altitude >2350) had limited release, Cupido's entrance to the market presented an opportunity to promote a new premium red for mid-high altitude production.

The new rose is named after the roman classical mythology character, Cupid, who is the god of desire, erotic love, attraction and affection. He is often portrayed as the son of the love goddess Venus and the war god Mars. In Latin Cupid is known as Cupido.
