Concours International d'Art Flora Doué-en-Anjou
The International Floral Art competition held in Doué-en-Anjou France is a unique event that brings together floral designers from around the world. The location is France's rose-rich region of Loire, and the setting is a cave wherein the designs are crafted inline with a specific theme. This years theme had a culinary twist to it, "La Rose et la Gourmandise"... which loosely translates to The Rose and Gourmandize".
This year the event is being held 13th - 16th July with teams from eight countries participating. The results from the floral design competition were:
- First place - Marking 59th Anniversary by Spain
- Second place - Bon Appetit by Japan
- Third place - Sweet recipe by Russian
- 4th place - Crispy feeling in mouth by Ukraine
- 5th place - Sweet pleasure by The Netherlands
- 6th place - Chocolate by Belgium
- 7th place - Fruit meringue by Italy
- 8th place - Luxury fine dining of Louis XIV in Versailles by Slovenia
