On 20th and 21st June, Fresco Flowers organized a meet & greet on their location in Aalsmeer, The Netherlands. Around 200 visitors, consisting of breeders, growers, clients, auctioneers, logistic partners and employees of the company had the opportunity to learn more about the nine exhibiting growers and their assortment.
Gerjan Telleman: "The direct contact between suppliers and buyers, people from the auction and logistic employees is important. We also work in a relaxed atmosphere together with Royal FloraHolland, which was clearly visible at the event. We strongly believe in the clock and the auction as the foundation for our trade. For us, it is also the ideal location to organize a meet & greet, and the attendance proves that this location is strategically interesting."
"It is obvious that digitization is changing the role of auction and exporter, but the pace at which it is changing is difficult to tell. In general, structural changes develop slowly in the ornamental industry. For Fresco Flowers it is important that FloraHolland continues putting efforts in building an attractive international marketplace and maintains the focus on the clock and logistics."
