Kenya Flower Council Chairman elected President of Union Fleurs
The Kenya Flower Council has been elected to hold the Presidency of the Union Fleurs for 2 years. Kenya Flower Council Board of Directors Chairman, Mr. Richard Fox is now the president of Union Fleurs, where the Council is a member, following an election held during the Union Fleurs General Assembly in San Remo, Italy.

This is the first time in the 60 year history of Union Fleurs that the Presidency is held by a non – European domiciled trade association.
Union Fleurs, founded in 1959 is an international umbrella organization for national associations active in the floricultural trade. Its main purpose is to represent and promote the interests of traders of cut flowers, cut foliage and pot plants. The membership of Union Fleurs accounts for 80% of the total value of worldwide exports of cut flowers and pot plants.
Mr. Fox was also elected to the Chair of SACAR (Secrétariat des Associations du Commerce Agricole Réunies / Joint Secretariat of Agricultural Trade Associations), the umbrella body in Brussels that operates the secretariat for Union Fleurs as well as a number of other international trade associations.

Reflecting the global reach of Union Fleurs and its unique position as the representative organisation for the international floricultural trade, the new Union Fleurs Board is made of a very international team, with the following representatives:
