Whimsical tea party by Dennis Kneepkens at Leeds Castle Festival of Flowers

For its Festival of Flowers, Leeds Castle hosts numerous designers from all over the globe. It is a way to celebrate previous owner of the castle Lady Baily's love for nature. Like last year DK Dennis Kneepkens' designers rose to the challenge and turned The Queens Gallery into a fun tea party.
With this years theme A Queens Castle, Dennis Kneepkens and partner Mick Stubbe immediately thought about the current reigning monarch of the UK Queen Elizabeth. Celebrating her 90th birthday this year, nothing could be more fitting than a true English tea party. Roaming the ancient halls of Leeds Castle, wanderers found themselves stumbling upon a delightful treat.
With the help of huge containers filled with Chrysal floral foam, the DK team created circle shaped gardens. Malus apple trees rised up from flowerbeds of Montana lisianthus Alissa Champagne and Princess Roses rosa Nature's Cherry. The designers added a playful touch by adding homemade cakes and some of the Castle's antique dishware.
