Fashion and interior design in flower concept store by Dennis Kneepkens

IPM Essen 2016 this year was the site of a brand new initiative to educate florist about the future of flower shops. The concept store, designed by international floral and interior designers Dennis Kneepkens and Mick Stubbe, featured a number of handy tips. Here's a summery!
1. Go organic! One of today's societies biggest trends is the concern of the environment, so florists do well making sure their packaging and production is clean and green.
2. Combine flowers with other creative industries. New consumers care about well thought out concept stores and are interested in getting everything that fits their lifestyle in the same store! In this concept store Dennis Kneepkens and Mick Stubbe used Woo candles, Dutz glassware, Ecri pots, Waterdrinker plants and De Museumwinkel taxidermie.
3. Create a warm environment! Apart from being friendly and chatty, florists do well serving their shoppers with snacks and beverages. A tip from Dennis Kneepkens: edible flowers from Bloombites!
4. Educate customers. Young people are constantly online and like sharing fun facts. And what's a better industry than the floral industry to tell some great stories?
