Porta Nova builds expansion at Waddinxveen location
Porta Nova, world's biggest grower of Red Naomi roses will build an expansion right across the road from their Waddinxveen location at the Abraham Kroesweg. Over 8.5 hectares of greenhouse will be constructed within a couple months. The first signs are already there.

Small wooden stakes have been put at every spot where later a wooden foundation pole will be piled into the ground. This gives away the outline of the greenhouse. This will be another great project for Havecon close to the head office.
This used to be the site for pot plant grower Sjaloom. The last couple of months have been used to professionally demolish the old greenhouse and everything associated with it. And suddenly a large open space appeared. And immediately a start has been made with outlining the new greenhouse. November and December are good months for the construction of the foundation of a greenhouse. This gives the concrete enough time to cure before the construction of the steel parts start. November is devoted to concrete foundation works, and in December the complete rain water discharge system will be dug into the soil.
The inner steel will be powder coated white. This gives the greenhouse a modern appearance, just like we have been grown used to. The roof will be equipped with tempered float glass.
