Building communities: Asocolflores and member companies contribute to rebuild Mocoa
In April this year, tragedy hit the city of Mocoa, in the south east of Colombia, when a landslide buried a great part of the city under mud and claimed more than 200 lives.

Asocolflores members collected many resources that will contribute to the reconstruction and improvement of the infrastructure of six rural schools. The funds will be channeled through the Entrepreneurs for Education NGO (Empresarios por la Educación) and the project is due to commence very soon.
A boy from Mocoa named Johan Sebastian took part in a video clip which shows the condition of the bathroom in his rural school and tells us how the avalanche knocked down the walls of most of the school, including the bathroom, which is used by boys and girls. Johan Sebastian, his friends, parents and teachers would like to have better bathrooms and classrooms for all the students.
