We celebrated Canada Day with Colombian flowers
The 1st of July marked another Canada Day, which this year commemorated 150 years of the nation's birth. Outdoor parties and parades are common on this day, and each year Canada's capital Ottawa hosts large events on the lawn of Parliament building. Other cities like Montreal and Toronto also celebrate parades.

This year, Asocolflores, Procolombia and Marca País Colombia joined the celebrations and took over the streets of Toronto to enjoy the festivities with city residents and visitors. Youngsters wearing t-shirts with an image representing our country handed out carnations and roses to observers, as an act of kindness and to let them know that Colombia is the main flower exporter to Canada.
Picture frames displaying the hashtag #ColombiacelebratesCanada were set up along some of the city's main streets so that passerby were able to take selfies and upload them onto their social profiles.
