IPM ESSEN 2017 WITH COMPREHENSIVE RANGE ON OFFER FOR HORTICULTURALISTS AND LANDSCAPERS
Unique Range of Nursery Goods and Plants
As the world's leading fair for horticulture, IPM ESSEN will be a fixed date for horticulturalists and landscapers, too. From January 24 to 27, 2017, a large number of the around 1,600 exhibitors will present their new products relating to everything to do with nursery goods, plants, tools and technology. Thus, the trade fair will offer an ideal platform in order to obtain suggestions for the ever rising demand for the designing of private gardens or municipal areas or also for innovative interior projects. It will be possible to place orders for the selected goods directly in situ at Messe Essen. Thus, trade visitors will have the possibilities of obtaining information about new products in the sector in a compact and direct way on short paths and designing their ranges according to current customer wishes. The supporting programme will be high-quality: In addition to the established information forum called "The Green City", the future congress entitled "Horticulture and Landscaping Outlooks" will take place during IPM ESSEN for the first time.

IPM ESSEN will stock the widest available range of nursery goods and plants which cannot be experienced at any other fair: In Fair Halls 10 to 12, producers will introduce their trees, woody plants, shrubs and bushes. On the Dutch joint booth, it will be possible to discover, for example, the newest ornamental hedges, bushes, perennial plants, water plants and road trees. For Mediterranean designing, exhibitors from Spain (Hall 7) will offer an extensive available range of palm trees, oleanders and olive trees. A visit to the Italy halls (temporary Halls 13 and 14 / foyer of the Grugahalle) in which producers from the Mediterranean country will show their typical and exotic plants such as citrus and orange growths will be inspiring, too. Anybody searching for hardy plants will be recommended to visit the Polish joint booth (Hall 7). The exhibitors will bring hardy trees, bushes, perennial plants, climbing plants and fruit plants with them to Messe Essen. In Hall 10, France will show, amongst other exhibits, new magnolias, long-flowering roses and, for the first time, unusual mulberries, walnuts and chestnuts.
Wide Diversity of Ornamental Plants and Ideas for Roof Gardens and Terraces
The appropriate plants for roof gardens, terraces and also interior projects will be shown by the suppliers of ornamental plants in Halls 1 and 2 and the Galeria with the second French joint booth. No matter whether colourful continuously flowering plants, flowering pot plants, fragrant herbs or abundantly hanging green plants - Exhibitors from all over the world will present new breeds and classics which will make the customers' hearts beat faster. Horticulturalists and landscapers will also find the appropriate accessories for planting and designing at IPM ESSEN. It will be possible to find planting containers for indoor and outdoor areas in Halls 4 and 6. Special substrates, soil additives, small devices or also plastic subsoil films will be included in the ranges of the exhibitors in Halls 3 and 7. Moreover, it will be possible to see innovations for the ever rising demand for the trend of vertical wall greenery at the world's leading fair for horticulture.
Future Congress Gives Digitisation Tips for Horticulturalists and Landscapers
The supporting programme at IPM ESSEN 2017 will once more feature numerous events which will offer valuable suggestions and information for horticulturalists and landscapers. The future congress entitled "Horticulture and Landscaping Outlooks" will give its premiere on January 26. The subject will be the digital transformation and how horticulture and landscaping can profit from it. The top speaker will be Sascha Lobo, well-known as an Internet blogger, author and strategy consultant. The congress will be staged by the North Rhine-Westphalia Association for Horticulture, Landscaping and Sports Field Construction. Registration by e‑mail to: [email protected].
The Innovation Showcase will give an overview of international plant innovations. The best spring-flowering plants, bedding and balcony plants, tub plants, flowering house plants, green house plants, cut flowers as well as woody plants of the IPM exhibitors will be chosen on the first day of the fair. During the course of the fair, it will be possible not only to see all the new products in Hall 1A but also to purchase them directly from the producers.
The Show Your Colours Award will honour special marketing relating to all aspects of shrubs and woody plants. Plants with significant values added and unusual stories will be distinguished here. Also during IPM ESSEN, it will be possible to view all the submissions at the crossover from Hall 5 to Hall 10.
An information event for nursery gardeners, landscape gardeners and municipal decision takers will be offered by the Federation of German Nurseries and the foundation called "The Green City" in cooperation with IPM ESSEN 2017. In three brief lectures and a discussion on January 25, experts will focus on the subject of "New Diseases and Pests: Consequences for the Green Sector".
