THE FUTURE CONGRESS FOR HORTICULTURE AND LANDSCAPING
The digital transformation can be noticed ever more strongly in the world of work. That relates to the production processes as well as to the communication with the customers. The effects of this far-reaching digitisation are confronting medium-sized enterprises not only with great challenges but also with many chances at the same time.

Against this background, the North Rhine-Westphalia Association for Horticulture, Landscaping and Sports Field Construction (VGL NRW) will stage a future congress entitled "Horticulture and Landscaping Outlooks" within the framework of the International Plant Fair IPM ESSEN in Essen on Thursday, January 26, 2017. The top speaker in the morning will be Sascha Lobo. He is an Internet blogger, author and strategy consultant with the main focal points of the Internet and brand communication and works for customers such as Deutsche Messe, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and VW. Sascha Lobo is well-known for his lectures about the digital world of social media right up to digital working processes for companies such as Siemens, Lufthansa or Wincor Nixdorf.
Also involved: Barbara Engels, Coordinator for Digitisation & Competition at the Cologne Institute for Economic Research. She will speak about the subject of "Digitisation: Mediocrity in Medium-Sized Enterprises?". The third speaker of the day will be Univ.‑Prof. Dr.‑Ing. Manfred Helmus from the Bergische University of Wuppertal. He will examine the subject of "Digitisation and Data Consistency in the Construction and Real Estate Sectors".
The event at Messe Essen, foyer of the South Congress Centre in front of Hall 1A, Germany Hall, will begin at 10.00 a.m. and will last until approx. 1.00 p.m. Thereafter, it will be convenient to visit IPM ESSEN.
