Ruud Knorr to leave Veiling Rhein-Maas for Dutch Flower Group

Ruud Knorr, director of Veiling Rhein-Maas in Germany, will leave his position as of 1 January 2017. He wants to open the way at the auction in Straelen-Herongen for an as-yet-to-be-appointed successor who will be able to lead the company into the next phase of its growth. Ruud Knorr has held the position of director of Veiling Rhein-Maas since 1 January 2011 and after six successful years, he is ready to pursue his career elsewhere. On1 February 2017, he will take on the position of division director plants at Dutch Flower Group.

Veiling Rhein-Maas arose through a joint venture between Royal FloraHolland Venlo, Landgard Herongen and Lüllingen. Throughout his time as director, Knorr has led the merger of these different organisations and worked to establish Veiling Rhein-Maas as an international marketplace for ornamental plants and flowers. Among other things, he completed a culture process through which three corporate cultures and two nationalities were brought together. Knorr successfully established a firm bond between individual suppliers and with customers.
