"Hovering Waterdrops" by Pirjo Koppi at Fleur Amour 2016
The theme for the 2016 edition of FleurAmour Passion for Flowers flower design event was centered around the four elements of earth, water, air and fire. The event now on its 21st edition was as tradition held at the Commandery of Alden Biesen and featured an impressive display of amazing and inspiring decorations.
Master Florist Pirjo Koppi from Finland created a floral arrangement called 'Hovering Waterdrops' at the castle.

I have wanted to design something light, hovering for a long time now. The thought has intrigued me for a long time. Inside a definite form I wanted to create a hovering world, like playful waterdrops falling to the ground.

In my design I have worked with the concept of water and air.

My main materials, the blue hydrangea, embody my chosen theme of the feel of water and drops of water.

This is an amazing happening and I was really happy to get the opportunity to participate in it.
