Florint, the International Florist Organisation, is a non-profit association that represents florists in 20 countries, primarily within the European region. One of its key activities is communication, and the organisation has proven quite successful at it over the years. Florint has achieved a social media reach of more than 460.000 followers, for example, and is in close contact with more than 100 key green sector journalists.
These days the sector needs to understand how to market to florists all over the world, in order to expand their familiarity with, and knowledge of, their products and services. But that’s not an easy task!Especially since it’s not always easy to understand the florist, but also because the market has simply changed drastically over the past 8 to 10 years.
Florint’s masterclasses will therefore focus on the following topics:
- Understand your key market segment: the florist
- The new (digital) marketing context: a new age of marketing and how to adapt to it
- Your modern arsenal of communication tools
- How to communicate effectivelyusing those tools
The language of the masterclasses will be English.
The two masterclasses will have the same content, so participants can choose to attend on either the 21st or the 22nd. The maximum amount of participants per day is 20 people. Florint corporate members and member associationscan attend for free, all others will need to pay a fee of 75€. Food and drinks will be made available.
The classes will be given by Mike Bourguignon, Florint’s Association Manager, and Jonas Zwitserlood, Florint’s Communication Manager. Mike has been part of a florist family since he was born and still exercises this profession in the family business in Spain. He also holds a Master’s Degree in digital communication and e-commerce. Jonas has long been incharge of Florint’s communication and is the brainbehind the successful creationof a vastonline florist community. He is a trained journalist and anthropologist, and runs aone-man communications agency in Amsterdam.
