Husband creates beautiful Pink Garden to cheer up his blind wife
Normally, most men would get their loved one a bouquet of flowers in a bid to express their affection. But a man in Miyazaki Japan has set the romance bar quite high by planting a beautiful garden of pink flowers for his wife. Toshiyuki Kuroki spent about ten years to plant the garden so that he could cheer up his wife after she went blind.

It hasn't always been a walk in the park Toshiyuki Kuroki and his wife Yasuko, from Miyazaki Prefecture in Japan, who have been married for more than 60 years. Three decades into their marriage, Yasuko started having problems with her eyesight due to complications resulting from diabetes.

Mr Kuroki, a dairy farmer, had to watch on helplessly as his wife became depressed and withdrawn from the world. To elevate his wife’s spirit, Kuroki got the brilliant idea of creating his own ‘garden of eden’ so that visitors coming to marvel at the blooms would at the same time keep his wife company. The result was not only a beautiful garden, but one of the most romantic gestures in the world.
