Anthura hosts pot flower growers during their annual business relations open day
Anthura Relations Day ON 27th May,
Marco van Herk Commercial Director of Anthura gave an update on the developments that have been achieved one year since the launch of the Waterwick project. Developments of Waterwick and Aqua Stick were showcased in the cultivation area (filtering) applications and the development of the wick / stick itself and new (sales) opportunities. The concept has led to various new initiatives in which the principle of water buffer is used to stick/wick.

In production, there are several practical tests that are performed to determine further possibilities for sustainable production of pot plants. In addition, it also touched on the air purifying effect of Anthurium pot plants.
After that, Dennis Zuidgeest of Zuidkoop Natural Projects gave insight on the market of interior landscaping and the opportunities presented by the waterwick and aqua drive systems. Emphasis was laid on the fact that there is increasing attention to the positive effects of "green." This manifests itself also in the emerging Natural and Flow Ring walls , the so-called plant walls.

After the official program was concluded, visitors were led to a guided visit of the greenhouse. It is increasingly important to correctly position varieties in the market and it is mainly for this reason that this year the Showhouse was expanded to include presentations of new varieties and some charts. Although not specific Anthura growers , but rather to position as much as possible to support producers in the sales process to their trade partners and breeders.
