Schreurs East Africa novelty varieties ahead of IFTEX 2016

In the run up to IFTEX 2016, Schreurs East Africa announced introduction of new varieties to growers in the East African region. These cut-rose varieties are a promising addition to the breeder’s well known assortment; each having a vibrant profile with regards to production and trade qualities.

Mid 2016 will see Schreurs release a range of 8 different new colors. Growers from accross the region are welcome for the breeder's open days at Flower Business Park Naivasha from Monday 6th June upto Friday 10th June. Here are some of the new rose introductions from Schreurs East Africa.

HEIDI MUTATION CREAM!

It has a nice cream color,nice leaves and is easy to arrange on the vase or bucket. Heidi Mutation Cream! Has the following characteristics:

Length 50-80 cm
Production is 200-220 stems per M2 per year.
Has a vase life of 9-12 days
Head size 5 cm

MARRY HAIKO!

Nice Bi-Color (Orange Red) same family with Marie Claire! and Mariyo! This variety will be released for trials, to growers in June 2016: Budwood will be Available. Marry Haiko! Has the following characteristics:

Length 50-80 cm
Production is 180-220 stems per M2 per year.
Has a vase life of 9-12 days
Head size 5 cm
Has a very good presentation in the buckets & on the vase

CREAM MAYFAIR!

Cream Mayfair! is an easy grower with very nice leaves, it’s important to start off with proper bent foliage. With proper bending we get more red shoots. It has a nice cream color and is easy to arrange on vase. The variety has long and strong stems. We have experienced no issues with pests or diseases. Cream Mayfair! Has the following characteristics:
