UK Royalty among visitors at the 2016 Chelsea Flower Show
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and other members of the British royal family graced this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show at the Chelsea Royal Hospital. Other royals in attendance were Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh; Kate, Duchess of Cambridge; Prince William, Duke of Cambridge; Prince Harry; Sophie, Countess of Wessex; Princess Anne, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. A number of celebrities also attended the world famous garden show which had an array of plant and floral displays as well as cutting-edge garden designs.

The 2016 RHS Chelsea Flower Show featured photographic exhibits and a floral arch to celebrate the 90th birthday of the Queen who is the RHS patron. At the entrance was a memorable poppies tribute by Phillip Johnson made up of individually crocheted poppies.
At the show garden visitors were treated to a wide range of design styles done in different themes and inspirations. Six gold, eight silver-gilt and three silver medals were awarded to the Show Garden designers.
This year’s theme focused on the benefits of greening-up our grey spaces as part of the Greening Grey Britain campaign.
