Russian designer Roman Steinhauer wins "People's Choice Award" sponsored by Oasis Floral products
Roman Steinhauer of Russia emerged winner of the "People's Choice Award" sponsored by Oasis Floral products after garnering the highest number of votes during the Europacup 2016 floral design championship.
To find the People's Choice Award winner, thousands of fans got a chance to vote online for their favorite arrangements and competitors. Voting was open to those present at the competition venue in Genoa as well as those following the event from home. For each task the voters could give one point to a competitor. But people were not allowed to vote for their own country. In total 1077 people from 65 countries completed votes for all task.!
With remarkable designs on both days and an amicable personality to match, Roman proved to be quite the crowd favorite earning 842 points.
Nicolae Bocancea of Romania and Dmitry Turcan of Azerbaijan came in second and third respectively. Nicu got 783 overall points while Dmitry got 624 points.
Voting for the Smithers Oasis People's Choice Award winner was made possible by Flowerweb and Florint through a special "EUROPACUP VOTE & SUPPORT APP". Besides voting for and supporting their favourite Europacup competitors, the APP also allowed one to participate in a fun and interactive Europacup Quiz & Survey.
