TEACHING EXHIBITION: "HEALTHY ORNAMENTAL PLANTS" IN GREEN CITY
The theme for the teaching exhibition will be “Healthy Ornamental Plants: A Challenge for Production and Trade?” On the one hand the economic and legal framework conditions have become more difficult over the years, but on the other hand topics related to the health of plants and the environment are increasingly capturing public interest.

To meet this tension, considerable efforts in production and trade, such as producing high-quality plants with minimal use of pesticides, which can at the same time be transported in a way that is cost-effective and maintains quality, are needed. Different possibilities for meeting these challenges through cultural management, resources management and technology will be addressed. The newest findings of the various research and testing facilities will be presented on these topics, and new visions for the future will be developed.
The New Ornamentals Working Group has been active now for 35 years. The group focuses on the development of new ornamental plants, preparation of principles, and technical requirements for production. In addition to an overview of products the Working Group was responsible for introducing to the market, innovative products, for which the development work is not yet fully finished, will also be presented at the ZVG teaching exhibition.
