First Ever Proflora America’s Cup
The first ever Proflora America’s Cup is set to be held 28th – 30th October in Corferias Bogota during this year’s Proflora Flower Trade Show, which is the largest floral expo in the America’s. The inaugural floral design competition is hosted by Asocolflores (Association of Colombian Flower Exporters), Florint (International Florists’ Association) together with their 100,000 European members and Floral Art Iberamerican School (EIAF) among other partners.

The artistry of nine Latin American florists will go head to head in the competition working along five different themes that have been tailored to portray the rich floral cultural heritage of Colombia, ‘The Land of Flowers’. During the event, a wide array of flowers grown in Colombia will be showcased through the various astonishing arrangement by the professional floral designers. Apart from crowning the ultimate champion, the event seeks to promote the florist profession at large and encourage vibrant quality in floral decoration.
Four renowned top floral artists will also grace the event. These are: Eduard Maynegra - the current Spanish champion who will demonstrate today’s trends in wedding bouquet design; Dani Santamaría who will be showing large-structure floral design; and Adolfo Cojulun from Guatemala with Marilú Urquiza, from Mexico who will both unveil the very latest trends in the world of floristry.
