Day 2: Second competition task: A table decoration for Silleteros

This theme is based on the traditional march of the Colombian “silleteros” and their designs. Competitors will have to design a round arrangement on a support table.
The arrangement will be made on round floral foam. Shape is round. The arrangement must be more than 1 meter in diameter. Color is free.
I worked with the Colombian flag for the theme Silleteros, placing the national Colombians colors in different textures and groups of flowers.

This work needs a big variety of flowers and greens, like roses, carnations, gerberas, hortencia, lilies, among others.

I’ll make a triad of yellow, blue and red colors of the flag of Colombia.

Day 2: Third competition task: A bouquet from the Amazon.
The amazon has a wide array of different flowers and greens that cannot be seen anywhere in the world. This theme focuses on the most common floral arrangement: the bouquet. Competitors will make a bouquet by incorporating flowers and greens from the amazon.
The arrangement will have a minimum of 30 stems and it must be possible to carry the bouquet by one person. Competitors may use a structure for the bouquet that will be made during the days given for preparation.
Shape and size is free. A Complimentary color harmony must be used. The bouquet will be made in a spiral form with one binding point.
The idea is to represent Indian life with fabrics of different materials, symbolizing wood and other fibers in the region.

Environment Minister of Colombia, to remember that we must preserve the natural resources that are not renewable, and that in Colombia we can still enjoy.
