Day 2: Second competition task: A table decoration for Silleteros

This theme is based on the traditional march of the Colombian “silleteros” and their designs. Competitors will have to design a round arrangement on a support table.
The arrangement will be made on round floral foam. Shape is round. The arrangement must be more than 1 meter in diameter. Color is free.
For this design I wanted to be represented by this composition that tradition of silleteros using flowers to express feelings. And that rather than creating a design to exalt the material for this universal language to express feelings .... Flowers.

For this design using flowers representative in the preparation of the saddles as chrysanthemums and other flowers I wanted to use to give more prominence to the design in terms of colors and textures, as gerberas, hydrangeas and foliage as Crotos, cordeline and dracena .

A saddle is not saddle if it dosen't have color and variety of flowers, which is why I wanted to express all that on my design, to highlight part of an event like Proflora that allows many people in the world know the diversity of flowers that has Colombia to to export.

Day 2: Third competition task: A bouquet from the Amazon.
The amazon has a wide array of different flowers and greens that cannot be seen anywhere in the world. This theme focuses on the most common floral arrangement: the bouquet. Competitors will make a bouquet by incorporating flowers and greens from the amazon.
The arrangement will have a minimum of 30 stems and it must be possible to carry the bouquet by one person. Competitors may use a structure for the bouquet that will be made during the days given for preparation.
Shape and size is free. A Complimentary color harmony must be used. The bouquet will be made in a spiral form with one binding point.
For this work I designed a wooden structure using pieces of wood which are glued with silicone to create a structure with volume, which complements the floral work to represent the Amazon Bouquet

I would like to give this bouquet to my mother, who is one of the most important people that I have in my life. The serious message:Thanks Mom for all that I have given. Thanks for bringing me into the world, feed, take care and try to make me a good person. Thank you for what you taught me. Thanks for making me understand that true love is that which is given without expecting anything in return.
