Day 1: First competition task: Wedding in the Andes
Competitors will make a wedding design for a traditional Colombian wedding in the Andean region. The arrangement will be the central piece for the chapel. The arrangement should be representative of the region.
The arrangement will be made in a vase. All floral material must be placed in floral foam.
The arrangement must be at least 1,5 meters high. This height includes the dimensions of the vase. There is no high restriction. Color is free.
I based on the shape of the circle that symbolizes infinite union in love. Represent the four elements, fire red color, with white air, the brown earth and water, are elements in the Andean weddings, nature-based. A supreme being who supports the union is represented with the form of a half circle as if they were arms on approval of the marriage.
I´m using materials such as cotton grown in the Andes area. Red roses representing Love and other red flowers, also coves that accentuate the movement of the circle. Brown wire and red wool to bring color to the entire composition.
Traditional, romantic and very expressive couple.
