Day 1 Copa América: "Wedding in the Andes" by Cecilia Izaquita Torres
It was an exciting first day at the Copa América during the Proflora in Bogota.
Nine designers started the competition with a wedding assigment. "Wedding in the andes".

Day 1: First competition task: Wedding in the Andes
Competitors will make a wedding design for a traditional Colombian wedding in the Andean region. The arrangement will be the central piece for the chapel. The arrangement should be representative of the region.
The arrangement will be made in a vase. All floral material must be placed in floral foam.
The arrangement must be at least 1,5 meters high. This height includes the dimensions of the vase. There is no high restriction. Color is free.
My work is call “Ruiz snow” because we´re working the tones. White textures, different whites because is the most important color from the weddings of the Andes, it means loyalty, respect and purity.
My design is a classic “Pompeian empire” and I’m using roses, carnations and different kinds of flowers that help me achieve the purpose.
I imagine this design perfect for a classic, traditional and elegant couple.
