Style meets Taste

On 15 and 16 October some 250 students and amateur florists will compete for the title of Dutch Champion at the Deventer Theatre. During the subsequent flowers weekend of 17 and 18 October you can admire all the created floral work plus presentations, demonstrations and workshops with unique example of edible flowers. The colorful event, which is being held for the 52nd time, is themed 'Explore The Senses' and is an initiative of the association Groei & Bloei.

Best of Netherlands
The NK bouquets are divided into two categories and last for two days. On Thursday, October 15th competition, student teams from floral design schools are pitted against each other and will be required to create a vegetable wall with the theme 'Explore the senses. On Friday, October 16th amateur and semi-professional floral designers will have their turn. Participants prepare for their own flower arrangements made during the championship. On the main day, the applicants will also be given a surprise assignment. A jury assesses the flower arrangements on creativity, technique, composition and thematic content.

Flowers Weekend
During the National flowers weekend in Deventer, you can admire the exhibited works of the contest and enjoy various presentations and demonstrations. Among other top floral designers present will be  Pim van den Akker and Tomas de Bruyne.
