The beauty of the moment / flower mandala’s by Moniek vanden Berghe
During Fleuramour 2015 in Alden Biesen the floral designer Moniek vanden Berghe was asked to create a floral design work in the "Torenkamer" (tower chamber) of the Castle at Alden Biesen.
Moniek can be called a regular or even a veteran at Fleuramour, always surprizing with georgous floral design.
"Years ago I fell in love with the tower room, and since then, she continues to inspire me,
Every year I look forward to decorating her again." Below you can read was she created this year.

Circles happen to fit perfectly in the round "Tower chamber....."
Last year one big circle made out of Wool. This year many circles ….. Flowermandala’s on paper
As the contrast in the music of "Pärt", the one and the many.
A mandala represents wholeness, a cosmic diagram reminding us of our relation to infinity, Extending beyond and within our bodies and minds.
The mandala appears to us in all aspects of life, the earth, the sun the moon and…
More obviously the circles of life encompassing friends, family an d communities.
Mandala’s can be created by individuals to symbolize their journeys trough live.
With the flower mandala's I'm celebrating the long relations with my team, the organisers of fleuramour; Rekad, and my Sponsor Anco.
The "Tower chamber" is ready for all people who come to visit to celebrate.

I worked with VANDA orchids from ANC0 because I feel a special connection with the vanda for a long time... ..
Many years ago I fell madly in love with the purple vanda and its intense color Its beautiful shape and interesting 'print'
I have played endlessly with the vanda in the past and therefore wanted to do this again at this special leuramour edition.
For the floralien (2000), I have used the vanda 'blue magic' in which they figured as moths attracted by the light.
HOLSTEIN gerberas
I chose for the peacfullness of the shape and cheerfulness of the cute little flowers. Moreover, they are easily combined and available in all colors.
For example Vanda and germini look great together.
The germini's are a rather recent love
ROSES G FRESH
G fresh because of the quality and enthusiasm of Peter and Rose growers
Roses have always been part of my color palette.

The paper circles are already pre-manufactured home .......
It took at least a week of cutting, measuring and gluing. to create al the circles.
The beautiful paper(Juta net Roll - Italian mood) is sponsored by EUROFLOR, wholesale flowers and florists supplies.
The glue was low temperature glue from Smithers Oasis.

Vanda's gerberas and roses were carefully selected and sorted by color. after which they were placen in the glass tubes in the structures.

A tradition for me for many years, the end of September stand in the light of the floral design happening.
Meanwhile, the meeting has turned into a meeting place for many international floristry friends.
I can also follow the people I trained, and I can proudly follow their fantastic evolution.
