SUMMER PARADISE PARTY by Jantine van Bruggen at Fleuramour 2015

During Fleuramour 2015 in Alden Biesen the floral designer Jantine van Bruggen was asked to create a floral design work in the "Small vautled Basement" at the Castle of Alden Biesen. She created a design that moves all of your senses and is a real summer paradise party.

What can you tell us about your project?:

My Idea was to recreate the big vault in the room to complement the room for its structure and beauty. By repeating the vaults and the design, the space gets stronger. And by using a lot of different flowers and materials we created something you can loose yourself. We also wanted to create something you don't just walk by but stick around to find other surprises in the design. Also there are a lot of senses to be stimulated. For Example: eyes by looking at the design, Hear by music on the background, nose by the scent of the flowers and Hands for the structure of some flowers. The only thing we dont have is the Tasting sense.

How did you incorporate the theme “Party” in your project?:

A party means to me happiness, cheerfullness, love and laughter. A variety of emotions! I wanted to have a design with as many colours as posible to recreate the feeling of these emotions with And the different flowers represent the feelings. It gives you happiness, joy, cheerfullness and other positive emotions when entering the room. It grabs you/intriges you or it doesnt suits you.
