A Glance at NIRP Roses at IFTEX 2015
NIRP East Africa was present at IFTEX 2015 with a wide assortment of cut rose varieties to fit the various specific needs of East Afican growers. At their stand No B1.08, guests had a chance to view new as well as established HybridTs, Intermediates, Sweethearts and Sprays.



On display at the stand were roses especially ideal for production in high altitude rose growing zones in East Africa as well as a high productive line that would best suit direct market growers. We sampled these three rose varieties among the assortment.

This unique rose is ranked as one of the three best-selling varieties in Ecuador currently under production with a large number of growers. She is a luxury rose and aso a favorite in the Russian market. It has a good colour intensity with and easy blend of pink, dark pink and a bit of cream.

Stardust
A large flowered new yellow rose with a good stemlenghth average 60-90cm and average vaselife of 14 days. Stardust has an average production of 180 f/sq/m.
Alba
This is an attractive ivory white rose variety with an average production of over 200. Alba grows a large head and also has an impressive vaselife of up to 16 days. The stemlength is 60-80cm average
